Show Notes
We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- Even after years of being a professional at doing something creative, you can always feel as though you may forget how to do it again
- Some people approach creative work with extensive detail to get it as perfect as possible, while others approach it as a timestamp of where they are in that moment, flaws and all - there is no wrong way to be creative
- It can be a good thing if you feel a bit of dissatisfaction after looking back on a completed creative project because it means that you’ve improved over the course of that project
- Ask yourself, “What can I do to deepen my relationships with family and friends over the holidays?” - brave asking some engaging questions, take someone out for coffee, be the one to pave the way for more intimate bonds
- When coming up with engaging questions to ask over the holidays, try a ‘past/present/future’ format where you pose questions from each of those perspectives
- The holidays can be a mixed bag - parts full of merriment, and parts that can be difficult - there’s room for all of it, and it’s all part of the experience
I think so much of the creative process is a channeling of your subconscious. If you’ve got your brain overly activated, then you’re missing that deeper untapped wisdom. – Peter
