Show Notes

We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- When working through recovery, you can do all the right things, and still not feel the benefits of it in the way you should - sometimes what you need most is a moment of deep connection with the people you care about
- Even when you’re not feeling instant benefit from your recovery strategies, it’s important to consider how much worse it could have been if you hadn’t been gently pushing towards that recovery
- When feeling frustrated that recovery isn’t instant and you’re missing out on life, appreciate the idea that ‘healing’ IS doing something - you can never heal faster than time can go
- Sometimes relaxing and being at peace with stillness IS the work you need to be doing to get ahead
- Relaxing actually allows us to enter our theta brainwave state, which feeds creativity and innovation
- Don’t underestimate the power of play to free up our creativity and bring new ideas to the surface
- The window of time from when you wake up to when you enter the world is a sacred time where your mind is open to thoughts you wouldn’t have access to the rest of the day

Doing the work sometimes is not doing anything. And that is the work itself. – Peter
