Show Notes
We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- Over-scheduling yourself can cause anxiety, but so can too much unscheduled leisure time - try to keep these balanced
- Unscheduled time can also cause ‘decision fatigue’, feeling pressure to continue filling your time with something new to do
- ‘Actioning’ the anxiety you feel can be achieved by altering the state you’re in by doing something active and keeping yourself moving and doing things
- Cope ahead of time - fill up your bucket with what you need so you will be successful when you are in a more challenging situation
- You can create precious moments that you revisit for the rest of your life just by allowing yourself to be very present when those moments are happening
- Circular tables are great for bringing people together and creating intimate conversations where everyone is on equal footing (especially if the table is small, bringing everyone even closer)
- Sometimes you have to be the one to take the lead and bring conversation to a deeper level
- When feeling depleted, we often like to keep our conversations on a surface level, meanwhile, what we really need is connection through a meaningful conversation to restore our energy - we just need to be around the right kinds of people having the right kinds of conversations
It’s amazing when we find these moments with the people in our lives to take a little step back and say, “How can I just drop a little deeper in this conversation?” – Peter
