Show Notes

We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- We often forget to revisit the tried and true things we do to make us feel connected and grounded in times when we need those things the most
- We rarely walk out of a workout, meditation, or yoga session feeling like it was a waste of time, yet the feelings of resistance and rebellion still rear their head before doing something we know is good for ourselves
- We are aware of different ‘parts’ of our personality, but we often don’t consider the baseline essence of who we are, and how we manage to hold those parts together
- Internal Family Systems Theory and Attachment Theory are two systems of psychology that work well together to bring healing and perspective to people who are seeking understanding about who they are at their core
- Who we were before trauma entered our lives is often an indicator of what our true essence is
- Consider that we are spiritual beings having a human experience rather than human beings trying to have a spiritual experience
- The mistakes, regrets, and traumas we’ve experienced in our lives are obstacles, but also help us define who we are - and who we are not - as we find our way to deeper understanding and self-acceptance

I’ve yet to meet an interesting person who has an easy past.  Robyne
