Show Notes

We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- People want simplification in their lives - they listen to so much advice about things they can do to improve their lives that it gets overwhelming
- Sometimes to get around to doing the things in your life you are passionate about, you need to schedule them into your calendar
- Sometimes it can be useful to feel like a ‘rookie’ in your field of expertise - it allows you a place to continue growing and not get complacent with where you are on your journey to be a master in your field
- When we wake up at 1-3 in the morning (or 'mid-night’), it’s because we’re having a cortisol spike, making us worry and feel anxious - try putting your hand on your heart and practice gratitude, or think of it as an opportunity to focus on calm and relaxing thoughts
- ‘Mid-night’ doesn’t have to be at 12am - it can also be in the middle of your sleep at night, whatever time that may be
- Power Naps - you either want to nap for 20 mins to avoid getting into a deep sleep, or 90 mins (before 3pm) to complete a full cycle of sleep, allowing your adenosine to get drained and allowing you to still get a full sleep at night
- If you need energy, you want the 20 min nap - if you need your heart and emotions to replenish, take the 90 min nap
- Adenosine is like a toxin collected in the brain throughout our day making us more and more tired as it fills up, but it gets released when we get some sleep (especially N3 ‘deep’ sleep)

Our well-being is so much closer than we think it is. – Robyne
