Show Notes

We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- Sometimes an event in your life can trigger your sense memory to go back to a different time and place where you can remember the level of consciousness you had at that moment in time
- Smell, followed by sound, are the most able to bring you back to a past memory with clarity, while having a parallel experience in the present day
- As our day progresses, we build up more and more toxins in our bodies (adenosine, etc.) that are aiding our brain in shutting down for the end of the day, making problem solving and thinking clearly more difficult
- Reconsider making important decisions or assessments after 8pm when your brain is not functioning at its best - instead take note of what you’re debating in your head so you can reconsider it the next day when your head is clearer
- Things you feel anxious about before going to sleep often resolve themselves in your brain by the time you wake up again
- Your body is designed to be cognizant for no more than 16 hours a day - the rest of the time should be where sleep allows your body and mind to rest and heal for the next day - so when we deprive ourselves of that time, we are often less productive the next day

Everything looks better after a good night’s sleep—or at least a good cup of coffee. – Robyne
