Episode 99: Social Media as an Act of Service
Peter and Robyne discuss how creators can increase the value of their social media presence. Plus, how humour invites vulnerability — and a roundup of some favourite memes.

Show Notes
We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- A rule of thumb for posting on social media: Make your content something that is useful - not just for your marketing goals, but for the reader
- Your social media presence should be that you are a person worth knowing - someone who has well thought out ideas, and presents them in a useful way
- Best to not get discouraged by comparing yourself to what other people are doing in their approach to success, and instead focus on your own way of doing it, because no one will do it the same way you do
- You can train social media to give you more content you like, and less that you don’t like, by actually using the tools they give you to ‘like’ and ‘see less of’ items that come up on your feed
- Peter & Robyne discuss humour/comedy, its appropriateness in various situations, and how it can be a vulnerable act of expressing who you are
- Peter & Robyne discuss memes that they’ve sent to people
The more comfortable I’ve been in just doing my own thing, the more it feels as if that energy is creating the right kind of momentum. – Robyne
