Show Notes
We cover many topics in this episode, including:
- Despite the appeal, there are tradeoffs to pursuing an entrepreneurial career path - yes, you can set your own schedule, and you’re doing something you’re passionate about, but there is a lack of security, you often don’t know when your next paycheque is coming in, and you have to spend a lot more time promoting yourself
- Once your heart has spoken to you, you cannot unhear it - once your passion is revealed, you must pursue it
- We are in constant motion, evolving, changing, and rather than be frustrated by it, we have to learn to accept that that’s part of the process
- Through all the worries, chaos, and fears in our lives, remember that one bad health scare can instantly make all that take a back seat and seem trivial
- If you knew the problems the people around you are regularly facing, you might be more content to stick with your own problems
- Having micro moments with nature throughout your day can increase your connection to your surroundings - try an activity called ’See, Feel, Hear’, where you actively see/feel/hear nature, but also allow yourself to see/feel/hear within yourself
- Real life doesn’t happen as fast as the digital landscape we’ve created to represent life - you can’t heal at a faster pace than real life time will permit
- Choosing manual ways of doing things (heating up food, doing dishes, etc.) can be a way to consciously slow down and appreciate your surroundings more
